Havana, April 1 (RHC) Havana will host the Forum of Information Technologies Businesses and Developers May 19-21; the event will promotes services and products being developed and marketed in Latin America.
Fostering access to technology and markets and boosting collaboration in the region is also a major interest of the forum, according to the organizing committee.
The regional gathering will include theoretical workshops, lectures and panels on the I.T. industry and the application of these technologies to education, business, e-government as well as business meetings at the Havana-based Center for Integral Technological Research and other professional exchanges at the Varadero tourist center in Matanzas province.
The forum, known as FELTI 2014, will also grant the LATINATEC award to companies, users or providers for their contribution to the development of knowledge.
For Cuba, a country that counts on highly skilled professionals, the event offers opportunities to get technologies and access to the I.T. market. At last year’s event, which also took place in Cuba, participants signed over 20 contracts in the field.
