Laos, April 15 (RHC) The president of the Cuban Friendship Institute Kenia Serrano wound up a visit to Laos, where she received gestures of support to the struggle of the Cuban people against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade and for the release of the three anti-terrorist fighters held in US prisons since 1998..
Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino and Antonio Guerrero are serving unfair prison sentences in US federal prisons after having monitored Florida-based ultra-right organizations that planned terrorist actions against Cuba. Rene Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez, were also part of the group of five antiterrorist fighters, who were framed by the FBI in 1998 and later submitted to a biased Miami court that gave them extremely long prison sentences. Fernando and Rene are already in Cuba after they fully met their prison terms.
During a meeting with the member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary People’s Party of Laos and Minister of Justice, Chaleune Yiapaoher, the Cuban visitors explained about US covert actions against the Cuban government through the setting up of social networks, which have been the subject of countless denunciations.
Serrano and Chaleune signed a collaboration and friendship accord between their entities involved in the promotion of friendship, peace and solidarity.
