Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- The Second Dialogue on Unilateral Coercive Measures between Cuba and the European Union will take place on Friday, November 29, in Havana.

The meeting will follow up from the one held in November 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.

The main topics to be addressed will be the imposition of unilateral coercive measures as a means of exerting political and economic pressure against States, as well as the legal and practical areas of existing legislation in the European Union to counteract the extraterritorial application of laws imposed by third countries.

The Cuban delegation, headed by the General Director of Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rodolfo Reyes Rodríguez, will attend this mechanism to denounce the intensification of the blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, a policy that constitutes the set of unilateral coercive measures with the longest application in history.

This meeting is being held pursuant to the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement concluded between Cuba and the European Union in 2016 and provisionally put into effect in 2017.
