Managua, May 15 (RHC)-- The Nicaraguan Network of Solidarity with the Peoples denounced through a statement the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that supposedly do not collaborate in the fight against terrorism, published by the U.S. State Department this week.

"There is no way, the United States does not understand, does not assimilate that Cuba is an independent and sovereign country that should be respected," emphasizes the text in its heading.

In its desire to return the Caribbean island to the condition of a neocolony, the document adds that Washington is resorting to any false accusation.  This is the case of the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that do not collaborate in the fight against terrorism, a measure without any basis in reality and with clear political and electoral purposes.

The Nicaraguan Network of Solidarity with the Peoples Augusto C. Sandino brings together eight organizations of the solidarity movement with the Caribbean island in this Central American country.
