Havana, June 4 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has rejected the new coercive measures announced by the United States against seven entities on the island.

According to the foreign minister's statements, the measures announced by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are "designed to affect Cuban families," pointing out that it was "shameful and criminal to tighten the blockade during COVID-19."

Among the seven Cuban companies sanctioned are the financial institution Fincimex, three hotels, two diving centers and a marine park for tourists, reports teleSUR.

Thus, the list of Cuban institutions sanctioned by the U.S. government now includes more than 200 entities and affiliates in Cuba.

The Cuban government has described this list, which includes a variety of entities supposedly linked to the defence and national security sector, as arbitrary.
