Havana, October 20 (RHC)-- Cuba confirmed 47 new cases of Covid-19 on October 19, according to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
A press release from the Ministry said the figure resulted from the study of 6 699 samples in the different Molecular Biology laboratories operating on the island. Since March 11th, 6 305 patients have been diagnosed with the disease.
Of the 47 new cases, 45 were contacts of confirmed cases. The province of Sancti Spíritus had 16 cases and Pinar del Río had 31.
