Havana, February 9 (RH)--The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party met in Havana on Tuesday.
The First Secretary, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, chaired the gathering to continue studying the documents that will be presented at the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.
A note published by Granma newspaper stated that considering the resurgence of COVID-19 experienced in recent weeks and the prospects for its control, the meeting analyzed and ratified the decision to celebrate the 8th Congress between April 16 and 19, as was announced last December 2 in the call for this important event.
