Cuba reports 937 new COVID-19 infections, 5 deaths

Havana, February 16 (RHC) -- Cuba reported 937 new infections of COVID-19 and five deaths. The island accumulates 39 941 positives and 274 deaths since March 2020. There were 940 medical discharges.

In his national televised briefing on Tuesday, Dr. Francisco Durán García, the island’s Chief Epidemiologist, said that on Monday, 16,274 samples were processed to diagnose COVID-19 in the 21 laboratories of the country.

The country woke up Tuesday with 18 100 patients admitted: 3 051 suspected, 10 154 under surveillance, and 4 895 confirmed cases.

Havana reported remains reporting the most autochthonous cases, 462 on Monday. Mayabeque followed it with 94,  and Pinar del Rio with 90.
