 Havana, Aug 24 (RHC)-- The Council of State approved the creation of the Institute of Information and Social Communication of Cuba as part of Decree-Law 41, published on the Official Gazette of the Republic on Tuesday.

According to the document, such entity is considered an Agency of the Central Administration of the State (OACE), and its mission is to conduct and control the Government's Social Communication Policy, propose its improvement, as well as contribute to promoting the culture of dialogue and consensus in society.

Therefore, the regulation implied the extinction of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television as OACE.

The Decree-Law entered into force as of its publication in the Official Gazette.

According to the text, the Council of Ministers, within 30 days from today's date, will have to establish the specific functions, structure, and composition of the Institute of Information and Social Communication
