Havana, October 25 (RHC)-- Starting this Monday, Cuban deputies are studying draft laws presented by the People's Supreme Court, before the first session of Parliament this year, marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In tune with the progress of the vaccination process on the island and the decline in cases of transmission of the disease, the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) plans to hold its Seventh Ordinary Session in its Ninth Legislature, starting on October 27.

It will be held in a semi-presential manner. The Convention Center will host the lawmakers from the capital and those elected in other provinces but who reside in Havana.

Most of the deputies will be connected from their territories through videoconferences.

In the days before the Ordinary Period of Sessions, they will debate the draft laws of the Courts of Justice, the Administrative Process, the Procedural Code, and the Criminal Process, as part of a profound procedural reform, as described by the secretary of the ANPP, Homero Acosta.

It will be in compliance with the Constitution approved in 2019, which demands new laws that will impact all spheres of the Caribbean country.
