Cuba reports 712 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 deaths

Havana, October 30 (RHC)—Cuban health authorities reported 712 new COVID-19 infections and seven deaths associated with the respiratory viral disease.

With the latest update, the Caribbean island now accumulates 951 325 diagnosed cases and 8,230 fatalities since the pandemic's beginning on its territory in March 2020.

During his TV briefing on Saturday, the National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, said that responding to the favorable indicators in the control of the pandemic on the national territory, his TV briefings will be aired once a week on Mondays, and that updates on the island's epidemiologic situation will be available on the Public Health Ministry's website.

The provinces with the highest autochthonous cases were Camaguey, Holguin, and Villa Clara.
