Havana, November 14 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Sunday the U.S. political-communication campaign against the Caribbean nation, which includes free access to virtual private networks from U.S.-based servers.

"A VPN is announced that curiously is free for users in Cuba, while the rest of the world must pay for it. No one will be surprised that this service is supported by 19 servers located in the United States," the foreign minister said on Twitter.

The Cuban diplomat questioned that the service is free only for residents of the Caribbean island.

"This is a lucrative business for the subversive anti-Cuban industry that desperately bets on a destabilizing plan doomed to failure," Rodriguez tweeted.

The foreign minister also denounced in another message that most of the toxic content originates from the United States, using hashtags to promote destabilization on the island. At the same time, those hashtags are rarely seen in other countries.

Reacting to Rodriguez's denunciation, Cuban Communications Minister Mayra Arevich, recalled that more than 60 U.S. websites related to knowledge, training, and software programming are blocked for Cuba.

However, for media warfare, Washington provides a free VPN service to destabilize a country and its people.
