Havana, November 15 (RHC)--Cuba will continue to be a destination for tourism of peace, ratified the member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Government of the Republic, Manuel Marrero Cruz, at the ceremony for the official restart of tourism operations for domestic and foreign markets and the reopening of borders to international visitors.

The Prime Minister went to Cuba's National Hotel in Havana, where workers and managers of the sector, as well as executives of international hotel chains operating on the island, met to kick-start the leisure industry in the "era of the new normality."

Juan Carlos García Granda, head of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR), informed that one hundred percent of the sector's facilities are certified with the Most Hygienic and Safe Tourism seal.

He also referred to the strict compliance with the hygienic-sanitary measures maintained at all entry points to the country and the permanent epidemiological surveillance by specialized personnel at all times.

García Granda ratified the celebration of the IV Ibero-American Summit on Accessible Tourism between December 15 and 17 at Cuba's iconic Hotel Nacional, which will be attended by service providers, public agencies, universities, users, and others involved in this sector. ».
