Havana, November 30 (RHC) Cuba will present the portfolio of business opportunities with foreign investment and exportable supply within the second day of the Business Forum of the Caribbean nation.

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, will be in charge of the presentation of the portfolio of options, which has 503 projects and whose amount amounts to more than 12 billion dollars, according to what he said recently in a meeting with Italian business people.

This Tuesday, the hybrid event also includes the exhibition of the possibilities in the Mariel Special Development Zone, a panel on renewable energy sources, and business opportunities in the agri-food sector.

In addition, the Cuba-Venezuela bilateral business forum will be held.

On Monday, Cuba's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil, gave a lecture on the transformations in the economy of the Caribbean nation, which is going through a gradual process of recovery.

Gil insisted that the Caribbean nation is a safe place for investment, both from the legal point of view and because of its political and social stability.

Meanwhile, the tourism sector showed a hundred offers, which stand out the potentialities in wellness products, health, quality of life, nature, culture and heritage, and new options such as franchise contracts and leasing of tourist facilities, among others.

According to the Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García, the Caribbean nation promotes joint ventures in theme parks, real estate projects, and other developments that complement the hotel business.

Until December 2, more than 2,200 entities from 86 countries will participate in the II Cuba 2021 Business Forum, which seeks to promote trade, investments, and renewable energy sources in the Caribbean island.

Government representatives, some 20 Chambers of Commerce, and 41 trade and investment promotion agencies from different parts of the world attend the event, which replaces the traditional Havana International Fair.

For the first time, a virtual fair is being held, in which around 600 companies from 46 countries applied for stands.
