Havana, December 22 (RHC) The National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament) ratified the legislative plan for 2022, which will give continuity to what has been achieved this year, according to Oscar Silvera, Minister of Justice.
In the eighth ordinary session of the ninth legislature, the head of the sector informed that 27 laws and 14 decree-laws are expected to be approved next year in a schedule that responds to the priorities and demands of the country's development.
Among the proposals of regulations stand out those related to companies, commercial companies, and associative forms, and the protection of cultural and natural heritage, personal data protection, and constitutional rights, among others, according to the report presented.
The Minister of Justice referenced the intense legislative exercise of 2021, in which, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, seven laws and 32 decree-laws were approved.
Silvera emphasized the laws of the People's Courts, of the Administrative and Penal processes, and the Code of Processes, which, according to him, are the result of years of study and mark a profound judicial reform in the Caribbean island.
Likewise, the laws on Territorial and Urban Planning, the Military Courts, and the Military Criminal Process were also approved, as well as the draft Family Code, the latter representing the conclusion of a stage before its final approval.
On the other hand, Decree-Laws related to animal welfare; telecommunications, information and communication technologies and the use of the radio-electronic spectrum; the state enterprise system; the protection of the rights of working mothers and the forms of non-state management, among others, all with a "high significance," said the Minister.
Since the proclamation and publication of the Constitution of the Republic, on April 10, 2019, until this session of the National Assembly of People's Power, Cuban deputies approved 19 Laws (including the Family Code Project) and 74 Decree-Laws, recognizes the report presented today before Parliament.
