Havana, January 6 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel called on Thursday for greater social and individual responsibility to accompany the anti-Covid-19 vaccination.

In a message posted on Twitter, the president recognized the importance of self-care when the country leads the world in immunization rate per 100 inhabitants.

"Being at the forefront in vaccines and boosters against Covid-19 raises individual and social responsibility for taking care of ourselves. May our attitude be another vaccine," he wrote.

On Wednesday, Cuba raised to 30 million 895 thousand 670 the doses of its vaccines against Covid-19 administered, an index that ratifies the nation at the forefront of the indicator per 100 inhabitants.

The country records an average of 272.95; while Chile has 231.18; United Arab Emirates 227.16; China 198.28 and Brazil closes the top five with 155.57; according to figures from the Oxford University statistics site, Our World in Data, with the clarification that all doses, including boosters, are counted individually.
