Havana, February 1 (RHC)-- Cuba has nine million, 823,862 people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, a figure that represents 87.8 percent of the country's entire population.
According to a report by the Ministry of Public Health of the Antillean nation, 10 million 569,265 Cubans have so far received at least one dose of one of the Cuban vaccines Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala, a figure which includes those convalescing from the disease who have received a single injection of the Plus vaccine.
Of this total, 9 million 347,177 people have already received their second administration and 9 million 13,778 have received their third administration.
In addition, five million 348,499 Cubans, more than 40 percent of the inhabitants of the Caribbean nation, have received booster doses.
In total, 34 million 278,865 doses of the country's own immunogens have been administered.
In this regard, Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, highlighted the day before that the nation had surpassed 34 million doses of those administered in the national territory.
"Cuba has 93 percent of its vaccinable population (that is, those without any health problem and with all the possibilities to receive national products) with a complete vaccination schedule and 58.9 percent with the fourth booster injection. Our people are better and better protected every day," he said.
