Havana, February 16 (RHC)-- Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov will visit Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua this week to continue intergovernmental exchanges on trade and economic cooperation.
Borisov's trip begins Wednesday in Caracas, continues Thursday in Managua, and ends on the 18th in Havana, his office in Moscow announced. The visit intends to discuss optimizing bilateral trade and fostering economic cooperation.
Borisov heads the Intergovernmental Commissions on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation with Cuba and Venezuela, which meets regularly every year.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that President Vladimir Putin agreed to expand strategic cooperation in all areas during exchanges with the heads of state of these countries.
