Havana, June 9 (RHC)-- Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba's Foreign Minister, acknowledged the condemnation of the U.S. blockade on Cuba at the People's Summit, which is taking place in the U.S. city of Los Angeles.

On Twitter, the Foreign Minister stressed that "Let Cuba live" was the claim of multiple voices to the U.S. government, which for 63 years has tried with that unilateral policy to strangle the economy and suffocate the Cuban people.

The People's Summit, which runs through June 10, brings together more than 200 community organizations, social movements, unions, and progressive forces that give visibility to the region's voices and its right to democracy.

The panel Let Cuba live denounced Wednesday Washington's blockade of the island, showing the genuine interests of Cuban society.

Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, said that the People's Summit is the actual transcendental political event of these days.

The IX Summit of the Americas, which is taking place in Los Angeles, excluded Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, generating widespread rejection within the hemisphere.
