Jose Miguel Mejia Abreu was received by President Miguel Diaz-Canel this Friday, July 29, 2022.

Havana, July 29 (RHC)--The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, met Friday afternoon at the Palace of the Revolution with José Miguel Mejía Abreu, secretary general of the United Left Movement Party of the Dominican Republic.

In his words of welcome to the visitor, the President thanked the constant support that this Party has offered to Cuba in different scenarios and acknowledged the role it has played in transmitting the reality of the Island beyond Cuban borders.

In the exchange, marked by the positive relations between the United Left Movement Party and the Communist Party of Cuba, the importance of continuing to work in constructing unity within diversity was discussed.
