According to a television report, 127 professionals from specialized brigades have arrived on the island, of which 48 are Venezuelan, and 79 are Mexican. Of the 14 flights, ten are from Mexico and four from Venezuela.

The broadcast also stated that all the chemicals, fire-fighting foams, hose systems, water pumps, and other instruments used to extinguish the fire had entered through this airport.

On the other hand, the Vice-Minister of Transportation, Roberto Ricardo Marrero, pointed out that carriers from all over the country have joined to help in this contingency.

He pointed out that there is a work of integration with the Ministry of Transportation, the Cuba Petróleo company, and other organizations to speed up the reception and subsequent transfer of donations, a process which he assured will be completed in two hours.

He said that another flight with donations from Mexico on Monday night was expected to arrive.

Cuba has so far received 22 donations from governments, institutions, and solidarity groups to face a major fire at the supertanker base in the capital.
