Cuban government proposes strategies to confront illegalities

 

Havana, Oct 26 (RHC) The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz presented for approval, general directives for the prevention and confrontation of crime, corruption, illegalities, and indiscipline in the country.

 

At a meeting of the Council of Ministers, which meets at the Palace of the Revolution (headquarters of the Executive), actions are analyzed to combat excessive prices and the resale of essential products.

 

When referring to the issue, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel called for not being contemplative in the face of these situations, and not giving space for theft and diversion of resources.

 

He also proposed strategies for the insertion of people unrelated to study and work, to promote their contribution to society.

 

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Alejandro Gil, head of Economy and Planning, reported on the country's economic performance.

 

The agenda of the meeting includes the Portfolio of opportunities for foreign investment, the national hydraulic plan, and the anticipated assignment of graduates of higher education and mid-level technicians who finish their studies in 2023, among other issues of high economic and social impact.

 

Heads of different organizations of the central administration of the State, superior organizations of business management, and leaders in all the provinces of the country and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, participated in the meeting, through videoconference. (Source: PL)
