Havana, November 1 (RHC)-- The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Sacha Llorenti on Tuesday considered it an irreducible duty to fight against the U.S. blockade of Cuba.

In his Twitter account, the Bolivian politician expressed his opposition to the hostile policy that for more than 60 years has been trying to suffocate the Cuban people and limit the country's development.

On November 2 and 3, the island will present for the thirtieth time at the United Nations the draft resolution "Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba".

On previous occasions the Cuban initiative received the majority support of the international community.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez recently presented that document in Havana, which revealed that between August 2021 and February 2022, economic losses due to the punitive U.S. policy amounted to three billion 806 million dollars, a record figure for seven months.

A tweet from the Cuban Foreign Ministry pointed out that almost two years into Joseph Biden's term, the most aggressive and unprecedented measures put into effect by the administration of President Donald Trump (2017-2021) remain in full force.
