Díaz-Canel ratified that the energy issue was a priority in his international tour.

Havana, November 29 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel ratified Tuesday the priority given to the energy issue in his recently concluded international tour of African, Asian and European nations.
In his Twitter profile, the dignitary assured that during his working visit to Algeria, Turkey, Russia and China, he found receptivity, support and cooperation.
Díaz-Canel attached to his message on that social network a link to the website of the Presidency, which published recent statements by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, after the return to the island of the government delegation, of which he was part.
The official described as successful the meetings that made possible agreements and the taking of decisions with an impact on this sector and for the island's economy.
"Whenever we talk about the National Electroenergy System, we think only of thermoelectric plants, but it is much more than that," said the official, who summarized some of the main agreements adopted in the different nations to alleviate the complex situation of electricity generation in Cuba.
He recalled that among the actions reported by Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune is the restitution of a stable fuel supply to the Caribbean nation to supply the power plants, and mentioned the donation of a photovoltaic park.
De la O Levy said that in Russia they also talked about the subject, from issues such as the shipment of fuel, renewable energy and the operation of thermoelectric plants.
Of the results in Turkey, he pointed out the floating power plants for electricity generation.
He added that in China they pointed out initiatives for the resumption of photovoltaic parks, stopped due to lack of financing; as well as, the analysis and flexibilization of payment conditions and the continuity of investments.
"Now it is up to us, with our embassies, specialists and technicians, to implement all these agreements as quickly as possible", said the Minister of Energy and Mines.
