Growing solidarity with Cuba is highlighted
Havana, Dec 5 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez highlighted on Monday the international activism deployed in 2022 in solidarity with his country in the face of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.
From his Twitter profile, the foreign minister highlighted the caravans carried out in several places against the U.S. blockade, which multiplied the bridges of love with the island, he said.
This Sunday, the solidarity initiative 'Bridges of Love, coordinated by Cuban-American Carlos Lazo, staged a mobilization in the city of Miami to demand the end of Washington's pressure policy.
Cuban activists and emigrants participated in this initiative, who traveled from different parts of the United States. Activities were also reported in New York and Italy.
In statements to Prensa Latina, Lazo ratified that nobody can stop the actions against the blockade since "it is necessary to put an end to this irrational and cruel policy and to build bridges of love".
Every end of the month, these solidarity caravans take place in the world, and among other demands, they defend the family reunification program, the sending of remittances, and the restoration of travel, affected by the 243 measures imposed during former president Donald Trump (2017-2021). Almost all of these measures are still in force during Joseph Biden’s administration. (Source: PL)
