Havana, Dec 26 (RHC) Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the Republic, presided over the provincial ceremony for the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution in Mayabeque, held in the municipality of Batabanó.

On Twitter, Valdés Mesa informed that as part of the event, the most outstanding companies and entities in the recovery work in that locality affected by Hurricane Ian last September were recognized.

Accompanied by the highest authorities of the Government and the Party of the province, the Vice President toured social works and new houses built in Surgidero de Batabanó.

According to Radio Mayabeque, on the same social network, the Cuban leader talked with the people and called on them to take care of the recent construction projects.

In this locality, one of the four popular councils of Batabanó, Ian caused severe damage to the housing infrastructure as well as damages to the hydraulic network, roads, agriculture, and electricity services. (Source: ACN)
