Havana, Jan 9 (RHC) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero congratulated on Monday on the social network Twitter the western provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque, which are celebrating the 12th anniversary of their constitution.

In 2010, the National Assembly of People's Power approved amendments to the Law on the Political-Administrative Division, in force since July 1976, which included the constitution of these two new demarcations, which were previously a part of Havana.

After the adjustments in the political-administrative division, the Caribbean nation is now made up of 15 provinces and 168 municipalities, including the Isle of Youth. (Source: Prensa Latina).
