Cuban-American activist Carlos Lazo confirmed that Miami and other cities around the world will hold another caravan next Sunday for the lifting of Washington's blockade against Cuba

Havana, Jan 25 (RHC) Cuban-American activist Carlos Lazo confirmed Wednesday from the United States that Miami and other cities around the world will hold another caravan next Sunday for the lifting of Washington's blockade against Cuba. This time it will be a tribute to José Martí on the 170th anniversary of his birth (January 28).

The coordinator of the 'Bridges of Love' project said that the caravan will demand the elimination of the cruel sanctions that punish and kill the people of the Caribbean country, which has endured a six-decade-long unilateral siege, the longest in history.

"That is why Cubans and non-Cubans, people of different creeds and ideologies, will gather at the intersection of Santillane and Ponce de Leon, in Coral Gables, in front of Marti's bust located there. Then, they will tour the streets of Miami," he said.

New York; Toronto and Vancouver, Canada; Bahamas, Mexico, and other cities and countries have already ratified their participation.

In previous statements to Prensa Latina, Lazo reiterated that the actions against the end of the blockade "will not be stopped by anyone", and he described this policy as irrational. (Source: Prensa Latina)
