Cuba's Foreign Minister thanked China for its donation
Havana, Jan 27 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez thanked Friday the Chinese government for the donation of 700 million yuan (about 100 million dollars) that will support social impact projects in our country.
Through his Twitter account, the Foreign Minister said that the donation, granted by the Eastern nation during the visit made last November by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, will have a positive impact on the welfare of the Cuban population.
On January 18, Cuba's ambassador to China, Carlos Miguel Pereira, together with Tang Wenhong, vice-president of the Agency for International Development Cooperation, signed the agreement on the delivery of these resources.
Pereira wrote on Twitter that this donation "will ratify China's strategic participation in our economic and social development plans and the construction of a community of shared destiny that we wish to create for the benefit of our countries and peoples".
Díaz-Canel made a brief but intense visit to the Asian giant from November 24 to 25 last year, where he held official talks and reached agreements to boost bilateral cooperation. (Source: Prensa Latina).
