Havana, Feb 28 (RHC) On Monday, the Minister of Public Health Jose Angel Portal informed the Cuban people about the decision of the collaborators working in Türkiye to keep working as they have been doing so far and to fulfill their duty.

According to MINSAP´s website, the Minister talked to the head and several members of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Situations of Disasters and Serious Epidemics, which has been working in that country since February 10.

The video conference took place during a brief stopover of the Cuban delegation on its way to Azerbaijan, where it will participate in a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Since they arrived in Türkiye, six days after the two devastating earthquakes, the Henry Reeve brigade has treated some 2,000 patients and carried out more than 3,000 nursing procedures.

They are specialists in General Comprehensive Medicine, surgeons, intensive care experts, and many others who have not stopped to be with the Turkish people in every place where they have been needed. (Source: PL)
