Havana, Mar 7 (RHC) The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and vice president of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa visited the municipality of Güines, in western Mayabeque, as part of the tours of parliamentary candidates to the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament).
The vice president, together with the other nominees for the 10th Legislature, met with workers from Havana’s Refractory Factory.
They also visited the Gamarra community, where they met with residents. The first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province, Yuniasky Crespo was part of the tour.
On his Twitter account, Valdes wrote that they also met with workers from the Food Wholesale Base Business Unit (UEB) and the Sandino UEB for construction materials.
The two candidates met with the members of the Gelma marketer in that territory (a business group in charge of managing the logistics of the agricultural sector). They also met with the staff of the Güines Norte polyclinic.
Until March 24, the candidates will visit several areas in Mayabeque province and will hold meetings in communities, schools, production, and service centers that will allow the people to meet their needs. (Source: Prensa Latina)
