Cuban singer-songwriter Tony Ávila will attend festival in Germany
Havana, Jun 19 (RHC) Cuba will be represented at the international music festival in Rudolstadt, Germany, from July 6 to 9, with singer-songwriter Tony Ávila as one of its exponents.
The author of songs like Mi casa.cu and Timbiriche told his followers on Facebook that he will bring his art to this European event along with other musicians from the island.
For its part, the official page of this German festival of root, folk and world music announces Cuba as the focus country this year with the participation of 10 groups, a symposium and a photographic exhibition.
The Rudolstadt website highlighted that at the inauguration on Thursday, July 6, the musician Eliades Ochoa and his group Patria will be present, bringing "Cuban joy of life and Caribbean lightness to the main stage of Heinepark".
The website also mentioned artists such as Telmary and Habanasana, Cimafunk, Los muñequitos de Matanzas, Yarima Blanco y su son, among others, in the scheduled program.
Visitors to the Rudolstadt Festival 2023, which is launching an app with an online program, can expect a total of 120 concerts, street music and dance. Reviews about this event indicate it as the most extensive and prestigious in Europe. (Source: PL)
