Cuban Prime Minister calls to boost recovery in provinces
Havana, Jul 15 (RHC) Yesterday, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero urged to give more dynamism to the recovery of damage caused to houses and infrastructures by recent pelting rains and hurricanes in several provinces.
Marrero criticized the slowness of these efforts during a meeting held with authorities of central and eastern provinces hard-hit by heavy rains in June, and from the western province of Pinar del Río, hit nine months ago by Hurricane Ian.
Despite progress in the recovery in Las Tunas and Holguín (east), the state of the work is slow in Granma, Santiago de Cuba (east), Camagüey (center) and Pinar del Río (west).
“This situation must be reversed immediately,” said Marrero, who suggested reviewing the work systems in each place and the population´s more active involvement. (Source: Prensa Latina)
