Cuban Deputy Prime Minister receives Director General of the Thai International Cooperation Agency
Havana, Aug 31 (RHC) Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas received this Wednesday the Director General of the Thai International Cooperation Agency, Ureerat Chareontoh, who is on a working visit to the country.
The meeting was held in the context of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Both executives highlighted the positive state of bilateral ties.
They also agreed on the broad prospects for strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest and promoting joint projects for the development of South-South cooperation and with third countries.
For his part, Cabrisas made reference to Cuba's status as pro tempore president of the Group of 77 and China.
The also head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment ratified the interest in having the participation of the Thai agency in the implementation of the projects promoted by Cuba, aimed at promoting compliance with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and post-pandemic recovery.
Meanwhile, Chareontoh expressed her satisfaction for the exchanges held with different Cuban organizations and the promising prospects for developing projects in the health, environment, innovation, biotechnology and agriculture sectors, among others.
Chareontoh underscored the privilege of learning from Cuba's experiences during his visit, which she considered to be an example of the cooperation that a developing country can offer to other nations in need.
Chareontoh and her delegation arrived in Havana this Monday for a working visit that will last until Friday, in compliance with an invitation from Cabrisas Ruiz. (Source: PL)
