Cuba sends condolences to Libya for loss of life after storm
Havana, Sep 11 (RHC) Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, a, Bruno Rodríguez, today sent through his X account condolences to the people and Government of Libya for the loss of material and human lives, caused by the passage of Storm Daniel.
The storm, coming from the Mediterranean, left more than two thousand dead and twelve hundred missing, and damage to houses and roads was also reported. The authorities of the African nation described the situation as “catastrophic,” especially in the city of Derna, the most affected by the torrential rainfall.
According to the Libyan National Center of Meteorology, the meteorological phenomenon caused rainfall of more than 400 milliliters, a record figure in the last four decades. (Source: PL)
