Public Health Minister highlights reference of Cienfuegos hospital 45 years after its inauguration by Fidel Castro (+Photo)

Cienfuegos, January 31 (RHC) -- Cuba's Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda, highlighted the status of Doctor Gustavo Aldereguía Lima National Reference Hospital, the most important hospital in the province of Cienfuegos and the first of its kind inaugurated by the leader of the Revolution, Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.

To celebrate its 45th anniversary, on March 23, the facility is undertaking a day of activities with actions including the creation of amenities for professionals and the quality of care it provides to the people, with a history, work and profession, facing the future by consolidating its operation, said the minister.

"And that we manage to train the future generations of professionals that Cienfuegos needs" added Portal Miranda highlighting that the Cienfuegos have always been an example, with a National Reference Hospital:

"That is the best investment, he says, and you have to take care of it always "and added that the above is joined by the development of science, with the Finlay Institute of Vaccines, as a laboratory, which allows to put dreams into effect.

"We have to take advantage now towards March 23, we have to consider for the whole year, how to make the hospital a giant institution, but giant in the quality of care, in the improvement of its professionals, giant in everything that we can achieve that has an impact on the state of health of the population".

The Minister insisted on the necessary commitment of the students with the health of the people and in their training scenario, which is the Hospital, towards the future in the giant attention, looking for the maximum quality. May the institution continue to be the one dreamed by Fidel for the family of Cienfuegos and the country, so that the population will be grateful for the service provided by the professionals.
