Bayamo, Granma, March 2 (RHC)-- In the plaza where our patriotic song was sung for the first time on October 20, 1868, the people of Bayamo, representing the people of the Cuban province of Granma, once again demanded an end to Israel's aggression against the people of Palestine.

Students, health professionals and representatives of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, denounced the merciless attacks that for more than a hundred days the civilian population of the Gaza Strip has been living and before such a massacre humanity should not stand idly by.

Here was heard the letter sent by eighth grade pioneer Liz Amanda Santiesteban Soto, who from the mountain community of San Pablo de Yao, in Buey Arriba wrote her most sincere feelings to the children of Palestine.

"Friends of Palestine, although we do not know each other, I feel that we are friends for a long time, I ask you not to lose hope, this terrible nightmare will end, the happy moments at family reunions, at school and at birthday parties will come back, someday, it may be today, or it may be tomorrow, that dark and tearful nine will form, with the sun a beautiful rainbow. Someday, it may be today, or it may be tomorrow, that dark and tearful nine will form, with the sun, a beautiful rainbow (...) All that haze of smoke will disappear, the deafening noise of the bombs will disappear, you have to believe it strongly. With love Amanda, a Cuban girl".

The voice of this pioneer was joined by young students Luis Raidel Hernández Donatien and Rainol Sánchez Ramírez, who recalled the difficult days lived in gaza and the genocide taking place in the southwest of the Mediterranean Sea, where the lives of more than 30 thousand children and women have been silenced.

This is what Hernández Donatien expressed in his words: "Our heartbeat is in every child, in every woman, in every man who has lost a loved one as a result of the military aggressions that take place in that sister land.

We young Cubans are with Palestine, because we understand that silence and impunity in the face of Israeli attacks makes us accomplices of genocide."

Likewise, Sanchez Ramirez said in his speech, "It is the duty of the revolutionaries and patriots of the world, absolute support for Palestine, to denounce the horrendous nature of the Israeli attack. History will judge those responsible for this genocide."

In her impeccable white coat, Dr. Liliana Licea Castellano, a member of the Henry Reeve continent, raised her voice and endorsed the rights of the Palestinian people to be free and see their children grow up in peace.

"The Gaza Strip has become a holocaust. How heartbreaking for a mother to see her children die.We join the words of our eternal Commander in Chief Fidel Castro when he said: Put an end as soon as possible to the genocide of the Palestinian people. We raise our voice to shout to the world Palestine is not alone!"

In Bayamo also listened to Marcelino Guerra Rosabal Delegate of the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples of Granma who alluded to the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict that adds up to 75 years of suffering.

"Palestine has always existed, the Jews who became Israelis settled in their lands and took over the best of them.
Today they intend to usurp it all and with the support of the U.S. government exterminate a people regardless of the lives of children, women and the elderly.  "Motee Ayma, a student of the Latin American School of Medicine who lives in the Gaza Strip and suffers the pain of the loss of members of her family, was also heard at the Bayamo Anthem Square.
