Cuban Foreign Minister spoke with Serbian counterpart

Havana, May 22 (RHC) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, this Wednesday held a telephone dialogue with his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric.

Rodríguez congratulated Djuric on his recent appointment and wished him success in his performance.

For his part, Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic reported on Instagram that he spoke, also by telephone, with Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel, whom he informed about the possible consequences of the adoption of the unilaterally imposed resolution on Srebrenica in the next session of the UN General Assembly.

Vucic pointed out that the purpose of this initiative is to endanger the interests of the Serbian people and consider that country as a genocidal State, disturbing peace and creating new tensions and divisions.

He also stated that his nation shows reverence for all victims and actively works to promote peace, reconciliation, connection and the development of friendly relations and cooperation between nations.

In said next session of the UN General Assembly, the West seeks to classify as a genocide the events that occurred in 1995 in Srebrenica, a city and municipality located in the east of Bosnia Herzegovina. This resolution ignores the extermination committed by the Muslims against the Serbs during the same war, facts about which the Western world does not comment.

Vucic is currently in New York to participate in the UN session. (Source: PL)
