Belarus and Cuba to strengthen defense collaboration

Havana, Jul 5 (RHC) Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces Minister Alvaro Lopez held a meeting in Minsk with Belarusian Defense Minister Victor Jrenin, where they agreed to strengthen military cooperation, BelTA news agency reported today.

The ministers noted the importance of continuing the practical vector of interaction aimed at strengthening cooperation in the military sphere, a statement released on Friday said.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry, for its part, noted that Lopez and Jrenin also summarized the provisional results of the joint work of the defense agencies in the first half of the year.

The Cuban minister arrived in Minsk last Monday to participate in the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the German fascist forces (Source: Prensa Latina)
