Cuba Solidarity Party in Germany

Berlin, July 29 (RHC) The Cuban solidarity organization Cuba Sí and leftist alliances gathered in the German capital to celebrate solidarity with Cuba on the anniversary of the attack on the Moncada barracks, diplomatic sources said today.

During the event, which took place in the city's Parkaue park, the Cuban solidarity groups flooded the park with Cuban flags and booths where they informed about their activities in the Caribbean country as well as current Cuban issues.

Cuban diplomats welcomed the guests and reported on the current situation in Cuba and the struggle against the U.S. blockade.

During the event, members of the socialist party Die Linke intervened, such as Gesine Lötzsch, who emphasized the importance of solidarity with Cuba.

In addition to Cuban friendship organizations and left-wing political groups, activists for the Palestinian cause were present.

They also discussed the work of the Cuba Travel Brigades of socialist youth organizations.

A round table discussion highlighted positive experiences. Traditional Cuban music was also played.

The topic was "The reactionary offensive of the United States in Latin America and the tightening of sanctions against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua", which provided plenty information on the effects of the blockade against Cuba and the policy of tightening it during the Trump administration, especially since the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.
