Delegation of journalists from Vietnam concludes visit to Cuba
Havana, September 7 (RHC) The visit of Vietnamese journalists to Cuba will conclude this Saturday with a tour of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, the Historical Center of Old Havana and the National Capitol, headquarters of the legislature.
The delegation of 15 members of the Association of Journalists of Vietnam (AJV), led by its vice president Tran Troug Dung, arrived this Monday at the 'José Martí' international airport in Havana and completed a program of meetings with Cuban colleagues.
The members of the APV held meetings with journalists and directors of the Institute of Information and Social Communication, national radio and television, as well as the newspaper Girón, TV Yumurí and Radio 26, in the province of Matanzas.
Likewise, they visited the Fidel Castro Ruz Center; placed a wreath in front of the Ho Chi Minh monument in Havana; and visited the tourist center of Varadero.
At the national headquarters of UPEC, professionals from the Vietnamese journalistic union gave their counterparts a donation consisting of technological resources for reporting and office work.
The visit focused on the Vietnam-Cuba Seminar: “Socialist Press in Transformation”, with eight presentations by journalists, managers and academics from both nations on experiences in media management. (Source: Prensa Latina)
