Medical collaboration with Dominica began in the 1990s

Havana, September 9 (RHC) The Minister of Health of Dominica, Cassanni Laville, today received a group of Cuban doctors and health technicians who will join the health brigade in providing services in that country.

Through a television report, the Government Information System notified that the delegation includes specialists in intensive care, general medicine, neonatology, obstetrics, radiography, laboratory, electromedicine and nursing.

Minister Laville recalled Cuba's more than 20 years of cooperation in the health area, recognized the solidarity of professionals and their commitment to helping other nations.

On behalf of the brigade members, Dr. Mirce Ayala ratified the desire to offer a quality service and dedication to the people of Dominica. She also thanked the hospitality received, which she valued as a sample of the friendship between both nations.

At the reception, Cuban ambassador Miguel Fraga recalled how in the case of Dominica, medical collaboration began in the 1990s and since then, around 130 young people have graduated from universities on the island. (Source: PL)
