Cuba and the Kingdom of Cambodia established diplomatic ties on April 15, 1960, in a period when the young Cuban Revolution was actively developing its connections with other Asian countries

 

Havana, Dec 31 (RHC) The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet, today reiterated his nation's steadfast dedication to working tirelessly with Cuba in the political, economic, and technical domains, building upon the existing accomplishments for the sake of advancement and shared prosperity.

The decision of the Kingdom was conveyed in a letter of congratulations addressed to his counterpart, Manuel Marrero, on the occasion of tomorrow's celebration of the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

The Prime Minister also pointed out that the upcoming year will be a momentous occasion for bilateral relations, as both countries will celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties, which will serve as a golden opportunity to deepen friendship and collaboration.

Cuba and the Kingdom of Cambodia established diplomatic ties on April 15, 1960, in a period when the young Cuban Revolution was actively developing its connections with other Asian countries.

The shared ideals of progress, peace, and justice contributed to the mutual respect and admiration between Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and King Father Norodom Sihanouk, the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.
