Havana, April 20 (Xinhua) -- The return of the Guantanamo Bay will be among the several major topics that the Cuban government expects to discuss with the United States in future talks, Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel said Sunday.

Another topic the Cuban government wants to discuss is U.S. hostile broadcasting against Cuba, Diaz-Canel told the press after casting his vote for municipal elections.

The two sides should also talk about compensation for the Cuban people for the human and economic damage caused by the U.S. blockade, he added.

"A country that sends health staff instead of soldiers to international conflicts to solve people's problems is not a terrorist country. It was unjust that they maintained us on that list," he said speaking about U.S. President Barack Obama's decision to remove Cuba from the list of so-called state sponsors of terrorism.
