Malabo, June 10 (RHC)-- Authorities from Equatorial Guinea and Cuba signed a health cooperation accord in Malabo, extending the work of a Cuban medical brigade in that country for another two years.

Guinea's Health and Social Well-being Minister Juan Ndong Nguema and Cuban Ambassador Pedro Doña signed the document. The Guinean official thanked Cuba for its willingness to keep assisting his people, which he described as valuable medical assistance.

With the signing of the accord, over 200 Cuban professionals in different health specialties will continue to offer their services in Equatorial Guinea, whose authorities also expressed the possibility to increase the Cuban medical presence and purchase pharmaceuticals produced by the Caribbean nation.
