Brasilia, June 27 (RHC)-- The President of the Brazilian Council of Public Health, Wilson Alecrim, has praised the Cuban medical personnel working in his country as part of the program called "More Doctors," promoted by the government of President Dilma Rousseff.
According to the Brazilian doctor, the 11,400 Cuban doctors have treated nearly than 42 million patients in the South American country over the past two years. He also pointed out that the services of the Cuban doctors are very much appreciated and sought out by the Brazilian people.
The "More Doctors" program began in Brazil in the year 2013 with the objective of guaranteeing poor and vulnerable sectors access to health care.
