Washington, July 14 (RHC) -– Cuba does not rule out the possibility of opening a consulate in South Florida, said the chief of the Cuban Interests Section in Washington DC, José Ramón Cabañas, in an interview with the Univisión 23 Channel.

“We have listened to the demands of our community in the United States, particularly in South Florida, who have conveyed the interest and the necessity of having consular services beyond those offered in Washington,” said Cabañas.

Speaking about the scheduled opening of embassies in Havana and Washington, Cabañas said he will be temporarily appointed Business Attaché, and that both governments will later agree on a different title for their embassy chiefs.
