Havana, Aug 8, (RHC), -- The Carlos Juan Finlay Microbiology Award by the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO) will be presented in Cuba in December this year, the UN ody announced Friday.
UNESCO grants the distinction to individuals that have excelled in the fields of Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology and Genetics.
This year, the award's presentation takes place in the framework of a program of activities for the centennial of the death of the eminent Cuban scientist, Carlos Juan Finlay.
