Havana, September 4 (RHC) -– Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz, who is heading a large official and business delegation in Cuba, met on Thursday with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez as part of his agenda on the island.
During the meeting, the Chilean official said that his government prioritizes relations with Latin America and the Caribbean and that his delegation came here with interesting bilateral cooperation proposals and to learn in areas where Cubans have vast experience, such as the health sector.
The top Chilean government official reiterated his country's support of initiatives aimed at lifting the over-50-year U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba.
Meanwhile, Bruno Rodriguez expressed his satisfaction for the positive state of bilateral relations between Chile and Cuba and stressed the potential of the two countries to further strengthen links in diverse areas of common interest.
