Havana, September 23 (RHC)-- Pope Francis sent a message to Cuban President Raul Castro during his flight from Cuba to the United States on Tuesday.
The message, sent from Alitalia Flight 4001 said: "After my departure from Cuba, I want to express my deep gratitude to His Excellency Raul Castro, President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, and to the entire Cuban people for their warm welcome to the country."
"I invoke the blessing of Almighty God upon all of you and I promise my prayers for your peace and prosperity."
